Hasan SAĞCAN received his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Istanbul Technical University. During his graduate education, he experienced Integrated Microfluidic Chip Based Diagnostic Kit for Rapid Diagnosis of Infection at TUBITAK Marmara Research Center. His PhD work focused on innovative diagnosis methods and technologies. He has patented works and publications in important journals. He is also the founder of a startup company that received a grant from TUBITAK and produces the technologies he has developed. His current interests mainly focus on the discovery of new diagnostic methods and development of therapeutic agents by biotechnological methods.
