Prof. Gamze Tanriover

Prof. Dr. Tanrıöver was born in Izmir in 1976. She completed her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology. After working as a biologist at Ankara Training and Research Hospital for 1 year, Prof. Dr. Tanrıöver started her Master’s degree in Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology. After completing her master’s degree, she won the scholarship of the Ministry of National Education and worked for 5 months on “Molecular mechanisms in embryonic brain development” in Neurophysiology Department of The University of Oslo. When she returned to Turkey, she started her PhD at Akdeniz University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology. Prof. Dr. Tanrıöver completed her PhD by contributing to the literature about “Cerebral Cavernous Malformation” with an integrated PhD program in the “Yale University Faculty of Medicine, Neurosurgery Neurovascular Genetics Department” for 2 years. She appointed as an Associate Professor in 2012 and she appointed as Professor in 2018.
