Prof. Türkan Yigitbasi

Dr. Yiğitbaşı graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1988. She completed her specialization in Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry at Erciyes University in 1994.
Between 1996 and 2002 established and managed the Analysis Diagnostic Center and Analysis Andrology Laboratory, which provides clinical laboratory services to patients. Between 2002 and 2004, She worked at Baylor College of Medicine, Male Reproductive Research and Testing (LMRRT) laboratory. Dr. Yiğitbaşı is holding a faculty position in the Department of Medical Biochemistry in the School of Medicine since 2012. She is the director of the Medipol University genetic evaluation center. Her main research interests and books are cancer metabolism, biochemistry and clinical biochemistry.Her research interests focused on the role of lactate dehydrogenase, carnitine palmitoyl transferase and PPAR-𝛾 agonists in the differentiation-related EMT pathway and apoptosis of tumor metabolism in different cancer models.
